Custom Applications

Flexibility is a key design feature in Riedon resistors, and we structure our manufacturing processes to support this concept. Our goal is to build advanced products that meet your exact requirements, yet complete the process from design to delivery in a minimum time and at a reasonable cost.
Sub-Assemblies and Cable Assemblies
Our flexible manufacturing facility can assemble resistors into higher-level assemblies, simplifying your procurement and manufacturing.
Custom Winding
Riedon's winding expertise is available to solve your custom component needs. We specialize in precision manufacturing using highly managed processes and quality systems. Call us for solutions to special components like resistance flow meter elements, specialized resistive or inductive sensors, coils for linear and rotary motion actuators, and similar wirewound devices.
Precision Compensation Resistors
Riedon's resistors are used for temperature-compensation in many instruments and transducers. These resistors are made with special wire that has the proper temperature coefficient to provide compensation for precision instruments.
Bare Elements
Bare metal element resistors are a reliable, low-cost alternative to conventional low ohm resistors. The resistive element is a metal strip, formed to your mounting requirements.
Matched Resistor Sets
We can supply most standard resistors matched for resistance tolerance and temperature coefficient. Often, resistance is matched to 0.001%, TCR to 0.5 ppm/ C.
Custom Packaging
Many of our resistors can be packaged into special cases and configurations.
Custom Lead Forming
Riedon can custom-form the leads on most power or precision resistors. We can also supply products with custom lead wire for special connections and other unique applications.
Resistor Networks and Arrays
We manufacture our Metal and Thick Film networks and arrays to your requirements. They are available in SIP and SMD packages, with 2 to 19 elements arranged as common or isolated resistors, voltage dividers, or custom circuits.
We also offer a design using MELF components attached to a pre-configured substrate. This design is an economical and quick delivery solution for your special network or array since there are no non-reoccurring engineering costs, special masks, or set-up charges. (See our MF4115.)
